Contractors working on behalf of the parish council have recently made some repairs and improvements to the play area.
Two benches, paid for by a grant from the Burton Pidsea Windfarm fund, have been installed – one in the toddlers play area to replace a damaged wooden bench and one situated next to the cone climber.
New swing seats have been installed on all swings and there is a new climbing net on the junior multi-play.
The wigwam has been removed as the wooden posts were rotten and area is often flooded in the autumn/winter.
The parish council are planning to make improvements to the wooden adventure trail in the next 12 months.
Burstwick Parish Council have funded a new part time 20mph on Main Street near the primary school. The council met with Graham Stuart MP today to discuss the project and wider road safety concerns in the village. The school council from Burstwick Community Primary School also got involved.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council have confirm that work on the new signs will start on 27th November.
